Seven Rivers Regulators

The Seven Rivers Regulators is a SASS affiliated that is home based in Carlsbad, New Mexico. We shoot the third Saturday of every Month and would love to have you come out and shoot with us or to just enjoy the spectacle of the event where grown men and women dress up as cowboys and cowgirls to take part in one of the best shooting sports in the world. Cowboy Action Shooting is a multifaceted shooting sport in which contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in the taming of the Old West: single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and side by side double barreled, pre-1899 pump, or lever action shotguns. The shooting competition is staged in a unique, characterized, "Old West" style.

The Seven Rivers Regulators, a Single Action Shooting Society, held their first monthly shoot of the New Year on Saturday, January 21^st, 2012 down at the Carlsbad Public Shooting Range.  The thirteen participants enjoyed good times, beautiful weather and tough competition.  Overall match results were as follows: 1^st place, Alchemy John (222 seconds), 2^nd place, Val Darrant (238sec); 3^rd place, Mike D. Harkey (244sec); 4^th place, Curly Bill (245sec); and 5^th place, Pecos Pearl (252sec).  The next shoot will be on February 18^st, 2012.  Setup starts at 9am, the Safety meeting at 9:30 and the fun begins at 10am.   

The next shoot will be on January 21st, 2012 at 10am. Visitors of all ages are always welcome.

Our matches are held on the third Saturday of each month. It is mandatory that all shooters attend the Safety Meeting held before each match. Setup begins at 9:00am, Safety Meeting at 9:30am, Lead starts to fly at 10:00am (winter hours) . So grab your guns, put on your hat and come give us a try. We know you'll have a good time.
